I am so sorry for your loss. Charlotte was a sweet woman. I remember she had the kindest (happy) smile and was a lot of fun to be around. My condolences to her family and close friends.
I just signed onto the Custer website & saw the sad notice of Charlotte's passing. I realize it's been some time, but I wanted to post this & let you know that I remember her very well. Charlotte & I went all through school together from about the 3rd grade on through Custer. She really was a wonderful person...always smiling & joyful. I've thought of her so often over the years. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Few female students bothered to acknowledge me during my two years at Custer. It was a combination of things but Charlotte, no matter what always did. It just seemed as though she knew me- even during the 1994 reunion she treated me the same way. It wasn't exaclty positive, but she did let me know I was there and I always appreciated her for that. I kind of saw her as one of our class "unsung heroes." Rest in peace my friend.
